It's tweed-esque! But what is it?
The Vega Director A-60 is something like a Fender Champ or Gibson GA-5; a small, punchy and robust combo amp from the late '50s, featuring a killer tube layout with a pair of 6V6s. Some cool vintage tech/hardware is present, including the original Sprague filter cap cover, and absolutely everything appears to be original and untouched with the exception of a couple newer resistors (blue in photos).
The amp powers on and sounds great, but would certainly benefit from a re-cap/TLC. If purchased and reconditioned, this thing would break up like a champ, and have those sweet bell-like tones at lower volume levels -- just like the Fender/Gibson counterparts of its era.
The A-60 wants to find a home with someone who appreciates the beauty and charm of vintage combos, but isn't so concerned about it being a Fender or Gibson. It's just a cool amp!
