If a customer places a guitar on layaway, they must put 30% of the total amount down. Thereafter payments must be made at least once a month in a pre-arranged amount. The total must be paid in full within 60 days or within an agreed upon window of time. If a customer decides they do not want the instrument, there is no cash or charge refunds for layaway items. Refunds will be given as store credit only.
Refunds on purchased items:
Customers have 48 hours to notify us if they are not satisfied with an instrument and make arrangements to return it themselves. Customers always pay shipping BOTH ways when receiving or returning instruments. Instruments must be returned in original condition with no scratches, or damage otherwise. If ANY damage has been inflicted to the instrument a full refund CANNOT be guaranteed.
All sales from Bernunzio Uptown Music are 100% on approval. The standard approval period is normally 48 hours but, that said, we want all transactions to be satisfactory in every way. We will gladly extend the approval period if someone asks for a bit more time. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges. In case of a return we will refund the entire amount less the shipping charges. Our standard shipping method is FedEx ground but we also ship by UPS, USPS and DHL. There is never a restocking fee. I have always felt that was a rip off. We do however expect that when things are returned they will come back in the same condition they left in.
Most goods are shipped and will arrive without incident. In rare cases, an item could be accidentally damaged by the carrier. If your item is damaged during shipping, notify us by e-mail within 2 days of receipt. We will then file a damage claim, and provide you with a prepaid return shipping method for the damaged item. As soon as we receive the damaged item and verify the damage, we will ship out a new item at no cost to you.
All returns require that you contact Bernunzio Uptown Music prior to making the return so that we can advise you how to proceed. If you wish to return an item, please contact email@example.com. Once you have obtained all return instructions from us, the item must be returned within a period of two days, or the return will not be accepted.
We ship World Wide. Some items are only for sale within the US. International customers should check store listings to make sure an item is not marked for purchase in the US only.
Shipping rates only applies to the contiguous, lower 48 states. Extra charges apply to other states, territories and outside the USA. Please email in advance of purchase to determine shipping costs.
We strive to get you your items as quickly as possible. In most cases, unless specified otherwise, items purchased and paid for are shipped the next business day, but at most, within 48 hours. Items purchased and paid for on Friday, Saturday or Sunday ship on Monday. During the Christmas shopping season we may take a little longer to get your order out. Guitars and larger items are shipped via Fedex Ground or UPS Ground, with a tracking number provided to you by e-mail. Note that it is Fedex policy to require a signature for all items with a declared value of $500 or greater. Smaller items are shipped via USPS First Class Parcel or Priority Mail.
Please note, for security purposes we can only ship to your credit card billing address. For PayPal purchases we can only ship to your confirmed PayPal account address.

The only personal information we collect is during an order process. This includes your name, address, shipping address, phone number, and if ordering by phone, your credit card information. We do not collect credit card information directly through our website as that is handled via the PayPal system or Google Checkout.
We use the personal information collected from you to process and ship your order. Such personal information as we collect is not used for any other purpose, and is not shared.
We never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above.
