The high quality Gibson BR-9's are a bang for the buck when it comes to steel guitars. With a strong tone with help from their 50's P-90, these have a ripping blues tone that can mellow out easy with a musical tone control. This BR-9 example comes to us in the cream finish with the brown celluloid cover and fingerboard. This steel was likely played fairly sparingly and is in good shape, albeit with some swapped parts. A replaced output jack plate, replaced knobs, and some newer buttons on the bass side (with a swapped plate on the originals) indicate someone that had likely stripped it for parts, while leaving the original pickup and pots. The instrument works just as it should, and makes a great player suitable for any serious steel player or guitarist at all looking to get into a great playing instrument for a bit less.
