1972 MIJ Yamaha FG-2500 12-String with a solid spruce top, solid 3 piece Brazilian rosewood/maple back and Brazilian rosewood sides. This jumbo body guitar is one of the higher end FG models that Yamaha made. Fully bound mahogany neck and headstock with a 25” scale length. It features some unique appointments including abalone purfling and ornate diamond inlay work, a slotted headstock and marquetry binding and rosette. The bridge and fingerboard are made of ebony and the nut width is 1 7/8”. Despite its age, this guitar plays very well. The action is very comfortable measuring 4/64” on the treble side and 8/64th on the bass a the 12th fret and the neck is straight.
This example is in very good condition - cosmetically very clean with no structural wear to speak of.
