Exceptional, high grade William Cole Eclipse, No. 3500 model, a rarely seen iteration from the Boston firm's lineup. Known as the Professional or #3500 grade Eclipse, the model features a fully bound, 27" scale mahogany neck, with multiple fancy laminations beneath, simple dot inlay, with highly engraved pearl inlay on the peghead (like that of fancy Fairbanks banjos), and long ebony backstrap; equipped with patent friction pegs. The black painted rim measures 10.5" in diameter, has the original metal parts including neck adjustment hardware and double pointed shoes, with Elite tailpiece. A fine, original player, there is minimal relief on the neck. Includes chipboard case.
