This "Victorian era" banjo was most likely distributed by Washburn of Chicago even though the nameplate is missing. It has the characteristic peghead shape and inlay of their 1890s models . The banjo is nice and complete and intact, but there is some mismatched hardware on the 11 inch spun over rim; nicely appointed mahogany neck set up classically with nylon strings and ivoroid friction tuners. The neck has a great playing 25-1/2" scale.
