This instrument is not like most Vega Voxes out there, considering it has an extra string! The Vega Vox banjo is mostly recognized for being a phenomenal 4 stringed instrument, but Vega experimented with designs in the 1950's and produced a few 5 string versions of these classic instruments
The banjo looks and sounds great! The Grover tuners function perfectly and hold a tune with no problem. The neck is maple with the resonator being faux rosewood. the 24 top tension brackets turn with ease for adjusting the tension of the head.
The banjo scale length is 27 inches with the head being 11 inches in diameter.
