Taylors most popular body size is likely the Grand Auditorium. The comfortable waist and wide lower bout (15 7/8" across) appeals to both dreadnaught & OM players alike - certainly falling right in between the two - both in comfort and sonic benefits. This body shape functions very well in combination of the Koa back & sides, like we have here on this used example dating to 2010. Sonically, this guitar is very nice and open, easy to play with a straight neck, and certainly quite the good looking instrument, with nice appointments.
Crisp low end, plenty of volume, and clear detail in the octave strings - this is a really fun & inspiring 12 string to pick up that doesn't seem to fatigue my hands quite the same as most other 12 strings out there. The comfortable Taylor neck profile with its "shallower" shoulders gives it a modern feel, but the balance of sound on this example leaves nothing to be desired.
It is designed with a traditional 25.5" scale length, and a typical wide 1 7/8" nut width. Spruce top and stunning Koa back & sides look great and are further accented by this models full ivoroid/abalone binding & rosette. The neck as mentioned is great to play, straight, with virtually no fret wear present and low action (with an untouched saddle). The height measures a comfy 5/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The ebony is clean and the inlay and binding are in great shape (see photos). Gold Taylor tuners round out an already beautiful instrument.
Comes with the original hardshell case.
