A student guitar from yesteryear, that has since graduated into the ranks of some acclaimed players collections. The 1448 was a 1 pickup electric guitar built by Danelectro, and marketed by Sears & Silvertone in the mid 1960s. As a student guitar, it features a slightly shorter than Fender 25" scale length with a slim neck, but more importantly, a case that has a 5 watt tube amp built right in. Studios have used these amps as secret weapons, as they have that classic low watt sound, with a small 6" Jensen speaker that has impressive tremolo + that classic 60s vibe.
The black sparkle is actually very clean, as is the white tolex sides. The pots date to 1963.
The amp functions great.
These are excellent guitars that have yet to skyrocket in price. Perfect for a collector in the know, or the right player looking for a new, but old vibe.
