"The Greatest Quality of Musical Tone Concentrated In A Small Body", S. S. Stewart's Piccolo banjo was designed for the higher registers of the very popular Banjo Orchestra ensembles of the day, even marketing said banjo as a "Little Wonder". The spun-over German silver rim assembly measures just seven inches in diameter, with maker/trade/serial-number stamps on the dowel and faux-rosewood interior wall; equipped with Common Sense tailpiece (missing rosette). The one piece cherry neck 15" scale length ebony fretboard w/ 1-1/8" diameter nut width, and original celluloid friction tuners; a nice little player with straight neck/low action, there are some chips, scuffs, and dings present throughout, with what seems to be a very well-repaired grain-related stress separation under fingerboard.
