Gil Parris is a solo artist and sideman who is a real guitar playing virtuoso. In his solo work, he blends jazz, blues, and rock into his own, eclectic mix. He’s worked with Dr. John, Toni Braxton, and Bernie Williams – he really gets around! This signature model is surely one of the best deals around, with classic but modern sensibility - punching far above the price point.
Parris has had many different signature models - which makes sense for covering a wide variety of sounds. This HSH has the more standard Double Agent body style, seen here in the fully bound gold finish. Gibson-esque stop tail bridge, it is outfitted with three pickups in an HSH type of setup - with two factory humbuckers in the neck and bridge, with a Lace Sensor in the middle - equipped with a standard 5 way switch - unlocking a lot of versatility. Cosmetically the guitar is in great shape having been used sparingly, with only light surface wear present, mainly on the pickguard.
The 25.5" scale bolt on neck feels very modern Fender, with a smooth satin finish over the maple. The profile is a medium C, and couples well with the standard 11/16" nut width. Locking tuners round out a well made instrument, signed on the back of the headstock. The guitar plays great with even low action and virtually no fret wear, the action measuring a low 4/64" in height.
Includes original hardshell case.
