Lets face it, we all love Peavey. Their amplifiers are indestructible - so logically, it only made sense to make something nice and "fragile" - something to be respected at the gig, not just thrown into the back of a pickup, hastily at 2AM.

The Peavey Composer AM Mandolin, is a head turner - and yes I am serious - it delivers good tone. Solid spruce top with laminate maple back & sides, this actually has some depth sonically and more volume than one would expect out of the gate. Some of the enhanced power this has might come from the Peavey "Power Plate" a patented idea meant to increase sustain and virtually eliminate dead spots on the fretboard. The Powerplate is mounted using the machine heads and increases the amount of string vibration energy projected by the instrument. The neck appears to be made out of maple, with a bound rosewood fingerboard. The necks straight and plays nice with low action, a hair left of adjustment on the bridge. The gold Peavey logo adorns the peg head.
Cosmetically and structurally this comes to us in good shape with only slight finish wear near the binding.
