A tremendous conversion banjo, utilizing an original Vega rim assembly, with high quality Ode neck. The 10-15/16" diameter pot dates to the late 1920s by serial number and appears to be original apart from some reproduction hardware; modified engraved Presto tailpiece, with stamped armrest (slightly bent); some tarnish and discoloration present to plating, with some rust on hooks. The 25 fret long neck has a 32.5" scale thick ebony fingeroard, and is of highly flamed maple with multiple laminations in the center; equipped with original Grover patent pending tuners with long sliding fifth string capo. Some dings, scuffs, light fret wear, and finish indentations present on back of neck in thumb area. A wonderful playing long neck, with great adjustability and an original twin pocket long neck case.
