From the hey-day of the folkie days, this is an early Ode longneck built in Boulder, Colorado and conforms to specifications from the company's 1964 catalog. The 32-1/4" scale "Grade I" neck is made of mahogany with walnut and maple center strips, and the rosewood fingerboard has a "zero-fret" and circular dot fretmarkers; scroll shaped peghead equipped with Grover rotomatics. The sturdy cast aluminium series thirty rim forms a slight arch and employs Ode's "perforated tone chamber construction"; all original hardware from tension hoop, to hooks, to the chrome plated inertia tailpiece. Sadly, this long-thing took a hit at some point, and bears the scars of a well-repaired peghead crack. Some dings and scratches present also. A nice player.
