Its design was a Nechville-Sagmoen collaboration and echos the Ashborne Banjos of the 1860s; BIG sound...extremely resonant. The 12" diameter Ashborne style rim assembly is of walnut, block construction, with a removable dowel stick, in-line tailpiece, wooden armrest, compensated bridge, Exotic Wood Cap Tone Ring. The one piece walnut neck has an ebony fingerboard, Partial Thumb Scoop, Quick-Cam neck connection, with Saturn and star pearl inlay on 26-3/8" scale unradiused board, 1-3/8" wide nut width; equipped with Gotoh tuners. Light fretwear present, light surface scratching, and a small chip on edge of fingerboard; small gap between sides of walnut block of rim beneath heel; 3x spikes present.
