A unique offering from the Martin Guitar Company in collaboration with famed Nashville based Gruhn Guitars and Milk Carton Kids guitarist, Kenneth Pattengale. A years in the making homage to Pattengales favored, workingman 1955 0-15, Martin through Gruhn began limited run offerings of this 0-17 like the one seen here - designed to be a cost effective and souped up version of the guitar Pattengale enjoys so much.
With a torrified and stained Adirondack spruce top, it has an aesthetic similar to the original 15's mahogany, but with definition and clarity - suitable for fingerstyle or any intricate pick work. Traditional scalloped X bracing, and a mahogany back. The neck joins the body with a vintage traditional compound dovetail joint, and is designed with a 24.9" scale and a 1 11/16" nut width.
This guitar comes to us in fantastic shape, used sparingly by the original owner. This lightweight and comfy small body is a working guitarists dream - offering up a great sound all at a reasonable pricepoint.
