Inspiring Martin 0-18T model dating to 1930 most recently purchased in Buffalo NY about a decade ago; first offered a year earlier as a model for Carl Fischer, Martin's production was in full-swing making more 0-18T guitars in 1930 than any year before or since. Undergoing expert restoration, this example sounds rich and dynamic, the perfect guitar for a player or studio musician. The single 0 sized body features standard Style 18 appointments including mahogany back and sides, finely grained spruce top, simple rosette, and retains the original tortoise pickguard; replacement ebony belly bridge, replacement maple bridge plate, several long reglued cracks along back and top with secured with wooden cleats and glue, surface level glued side cracks, edge on back from probable past removal, large rectangular side patch from past input jack scenarios, lots of play wear around soundhole, finish touchup throughout, with fading from two large pickguards present on top. The single piece mahogany neck has a 23" scale length ebony fingerboard with moderately worn original bar frets (notable pitting on D string first position) that play an intonate well; roughness around heel/hairline fracture indicate past neck reset; peghead equipped with rosewood overlay, original offset tab Grover tuners; some finish wear and scratching present, with dings on top edge of peghead/back of neck/body. Martin stamps present on the back of peghead, back center brace, and heel block, with serial number. Easy to love and play, there is little to no relief in the neck, with low/mild action, and a small amount of saddle to work with if needed. Includes modern guitar gig bag
