This appears to be an old Lyon and Healy factory banjo made in the 1890s. It has an 11 inch metal clad rim with 38 brackets and an old, Mylar head; the mahogany neck has a thin ebony fingerboard with interesting and attractive celluloid inlays; 26 inch scale neck, with mildly worn thin original fret wire; some play wear on back of neck, with light forward bow. Includes The July 1887 patent Five Finger tailpiece; 2x misc tuners installed (ebony friction fifth, bakelite friction fourth). Includes recent gig bag
