This is a very nice Ludwig top tension banjo with walnut resonator. Recently professionally set up with Remo Weatherking head. This is a fantastic sounding instrument for a bargain price. The hooks, tension hoop, and nuts are all original and NOT the dreaded "pot metal". The neck is also walnut and has a 19 fret ebony fingerboard (minimal fretwear). Equipped with Planetary style geared tuners. Some finish checking and other cosmetic wear present. Equipped with original Kerschner tailpiece. Missing heel cap veneer. Great modestly priced, 100 year old banjo!!
