Players have been digging LoPrinzi guitars now for decades - and for good reason, they just sound really great at an attractive price. The New Jersey based LoPrinzi Brothers, August and Thomas, would make some fantastic instruments, the LM-12 being a a high value instrument with a solid spruce top and gorgeous flamed maple back and sides. The full 25.5" scale and dreadnaught body has quite the power, with a bright edge to it, making it a favorable flat picking instrument for cutting through a mix - and honestly a nice recording guitar with a clear voice.
This guitar comes to us in good shape, clean cosmetically, with some surface finish wear present - and a small finish chip along the edge of the bass side of the fingerboard. It is possible that the bridge was sanded and reglued - but there is no evidence really present, less the fact that the bridge "looks" slim. The saddle has been taken down a bit, but not problematically so. These guitars were constructed without a truss rod - so certain measures would need to be taken. That said, this guitars neck is very straight overall, but does have a touch of forward relief. Original gold grover tuners present and nicely functional. Setup with 12-53 strings, it plays well with action that measures 8/64" in height at the twelfth fret. One may consider lowering the saddle a bit further to compensate. It has a standard 1 1116" nut width.
Comes with a hardshell case.
