Extremely interesting American-made violin, bearing the signature of Lloyd B. Trecartin, who built this instrument in Pittsburgh PA in 1950. Flamed maple back and sides, with solid spruce top; finish checking present throughout. The maple neck has an ebony fingerboard, with well-carved scroll; equipped with boxwood pegs.
