With an aluminum Telecaster style body, this Liquid Metal guitar is one for the expert tone seeker. Piano like sustain will have you telling your peers to "not even look at it". Listening to the tonal purity of this electric is blissful, and playing it is similar, as it begs for approach to recognize the broad swath of tones this thing is capable of. Light weight, this one clocks in only just over 8 lbs. The bodies are crafted from a single chunk of 6061 T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, fully chambered, alleviating weight and accommodate pickup and control mounting. The rear plate is mounted with allen screws - which admittedly one has been stripped out - the neck with S bolts. Strung through the back, the top is fitted with a custom milled heavy duty ashtray bridge, and a standard Telecaster layout, albeit here with a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90 in the neck & SWD Custom shop in the bridge. Warm articulation, one could imagine classical or jazz music being performed on this - even though it still shines in the roughest of rock & roll repertoire. The playability is excellent with even low action that measures a low 4-5/64" in height at the twelfth fret. A fairly satin maple neck profile has a thick ebony fingerboard, and it outfitted with Gotoh HAP 1:18 tuners. The profile itself has a very subtle V, which has a bit of heft in the shoulders - a thoughtful and well carved neck that measures about .85" in depth at the first fret, tapering to about .95" at the twelfth. Includes original hardshell case with embroidery. Weighs 8.25 lbs
