This limited California Special Edition was created to commemorate the relocation of Jean Larrivee's main workshop from Canada to Southern California in 2001. This example of the L-19 comes is detailed with a palm tree headstock inlay and "California" inlay on the 12th fret. It features a premium Canadian sitka spruce top, paired with East Indian rosewood back & sides, fully bound African ebony fretboard & ebony bridgeplate, & a Honduran mahogany neck. The binding features a thin blue-green line that accents the multi-layered binding around the top, sides & back of the body & the abalone soundhole rosette. The action is low at 6/64" at the 12th fret on low E and 5/64" on the high E and the nut width is 1 3/4". There is plenty of room to come down on the saddle as well. This guitar is quite clean considering it is now over 20 years old. There is some wear on the finish on the top below the finger board and a few small dings on the lower bought. Comes with the original Larrivee hard shell case.
