This classic mandolin bears an inlaid ivoroid plaque imprinted “The Imperial Co. Cincinnati, OH". It is a high-quality, Neapolitan style mandolin, with ornate inlaid pickguard and engraved and unique tailpiece. The top pearl inlayed as well as the peghead, and multiple bound ribs of exotic wood. The instrument is missing one some pearl on the ebony fretboard, has a 1-1/16" wide nut width, 13" scale length; binding falling off treble side; mild wear present on thin original frets.
