One of the heaviest guitars we've had here at the shop, similar issues having been used by the likes of Fredrik Thorendal & Brian "Head" Welch - these 7 strings are chugging riff heavy machines that can take some serious shredding. Made in Japan, the Prestige line from Ibanez is regarded as one of the great modern guitar issues in recent history. This Prestige features the classic RG (Rock Guitar) body shape, made with a basswood body, sporting a limba wood top - seen here in the hazelnut ale brown (HAB) finish. It sports two DiMarzio PAF-7 pickups with standard 5 way selector, volume & tone control. The previous owner had swapped pickups around, but it currently is fitted with the originals as intended, with a replaced switch, tone cap and pot - all functioning as factory intended. Cosmetically, the body is in great condition with only mild wear along its back edge, and some cosmetic wear to its Gotoh bridge. It has a 25.5" scale 5 piece Wizard 7 neck. The bolt on design makes dialing in a setup much more simple, and budget friendly. Jumbo frets with a rosewood fingerboard, this guitar plays great with easy low action, currently setup for standard B tuning, measuring a low 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret. Locking Gotoh tuners function as they should. Includes original molded plastic hardshell case.
