"Well this is my favorite OM in the shop" - Sam. Pleased to have this very nice, Sitka Spruce/Mahogany Orchestra model from Huss & Dalton dating to 2017. The mahogany back provides a nice warmth and body that compliments finger style playing nicely. The quality of the wood and internal design makes for a rich sonic palette with some very long sustain. This example comes to us in great shape and has opened up nicely, having been used but well maintained by its previous owner. The dark finish shows only mild surface wear but nothing remotely problematic. The previous owner installed a nice LR Baggs M1 Passive pickup, making this ready for stage use. This OM features a 15 1/8" lower bout and a body depth of 4 1/4" at the butt end and 3 1/2" at the heel. Traditional scalloped X bracing, and a thin rosewood bridge plate. It has a 25.5" scale length the neck angle yielding lovely playability. The neck is straight with a functional truss rod and its action measures a factory spec of 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret of the sixth string, and 5/64" on the first. The profile is clean with a gloss finish with no wear, and the neck lightly tapers in thickness - measuring .__" thick at the first position and .__" at the twelfth. It has a 1.75" nut width. Wavery Tuners function as they should. Comes with the original tweed hardshell case (also in great condition).
