Likely a model 497, this classical built by Hofner in 1973 is a nice student level instrument. With good projection and a light setup - this would make a good beginner level instrument, or certainly a nice nylon string for anyone looking to add a budget one to their collection. It appears to have a solid spruce top, with large mosaic rosette detail - the lower bout measuring about 14.5" across. Laminate rosewood back and sides, this guitar has a nice straight forward voice, with good note separation and a warm tone. Cosmetically this example is in good condition, with a thicker robust poly finish showing some standard checking.
