Originally designed as the BR-1 by Chicago industrial design firm Barnes & Reinecke and first appeared as the Ultratone in Gibson's 1947 catalog, which sought to capture the sleek design aesthetics of the 1940s and early 1950s.
This example features the white finish on the maple body, no binding, with lucite fingerboard, unique coral pickup cover with integrated output jack and lyre embellishments. Checking and light wear the finish, but overall a clean example with no structural issue. with Equipped with original tuners w/ original coral chicklett buttons in strong shape, and P90 pickup. Original Solar tone cap and pots present - one might consider a recap as the sweep as not quite as fluent for some modern playing.
Includes original case.
