Proud to have a well maintained Gibson LG 1, dating back to 1963. These dry and woody guitars offer up exceptional tone, especially in a recording environment, where one can hear how well balanced and punchy they are. The slightly smaller body on these LG guitars has become favorable to many, and this one comes to us in good playing condition from its previous owner.
This example has generally mild cosmetic wear, some nicks, dings and typical checking, maybe with its most notable repairs being two cracks - one adjacent to its pickguard, running parallel to the first string - the other a deeper finish crack running parallel to the fingerboard extension on the bass side. Both of which appear sealed and non-problematic. The back has a few repaired cracks present. The color and finish are still in very good condition
This model features the classic Gibson ladder bracing, and has a large maple bridge plate. The bridge plate has been fairly chewed up, a concern best left to its next owner - but overall a fairly mild one.
The neck is straight and in excellent shape, with no indicator of a neck reset in its past. The back side of the neck is smooth overall with no notable issues, less standard checking, and some mild nicks that aren't too present to the touch. It appears to have the original frets, which also have hardly any play wear. It has a 1 11/16" nut width and comfortable C profile. The action measures about 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret. The original saddle is present and has hardly been taken down from its original height. Evidence of a past pickup, it has a disconnected output jack, and velcro present internally.
Original Kluson tuners are present and function well as they should.
Comes with a simple newer gig bag.
