A versatile, player grade "Big-Box" Gibson!
This post war example of the ES-150 comes to us in fighting shape by its previous owner and is ready for its next jazz club, or country session. These 17" full hollows are well regarded in the Gibson ethos as they also feature the longer 25.5" scale length compared to rest of the product line. This results in a nice snappy tone that is well complimented by the "50's era" P-90 pickup, that has a nice dark rasp, suitable for even a rock & roll or blues gig. Acoustically very satisfying, with a nice and balanced response - this guitar plays and simply sounds great in any situation.
Expected wear and tear, this guitar is overall cosmetically in good condition, with only one notable crack in its treble side waist (repaired) present. Typical checking and flaking of the finish, the fully bound top and back are clean and with its top seam present near the pickguard bracket. This guitar has the original electronics present, but does have a replaced single ply pickguard - likely made by the previous owner when the original had oxidized. The original tailpiece is present with "Mary J Cause_" scratched into it.
The neck is in goo shape, with a hair of forward relief, but without too much trouble. With currently replaced frets, they have a fair bit of wear - primarily in its first position. While this guitar does not desperately need new frets again, it does play a little buzzy at the 12th fret and up on the bass side - something that could likely be mended in the event of its re fret. The neck shows honest relic'ing through its finish, but overall the profile is fairly clean and feels nice with a medium thickness. Replaced tuners present, which function as they should and look the part well enough. Typical nicks dings and checking present in the peg head overlay.
Comes with a hardshell case.
