This fine old Gibson was the top of the line in the tear drop or, “A’ style, featuring a lovely, red sunburst finish, adjustable bridge, nickel truss rod cover...all the improvements of the "Loar" era instruments without that skinny neck. The fully bound body has a spruce top (repaired center seam crack), with red stained Michigan maple back and sides; equipped with original engraved truss rod cover, later patent stamped adjustable bridge, tortoise pickguard w/ clamp. The three piece maple neck has an extended ebony fingerboard that was freshly refretted, is fully bound, with a 14" scale length, 1-1/4" nut width, w/ The Gibson in small pearl script atop a Fleur dis on peghead face; equipped w/ original engraved plate tuners w/ ivoroid buttons. In great original condition apart from typical cosmetic wear, binding shrinkage, scratching, and play wear on back of neck; repaired ctr. seam crack.
