Made in Germany, Framus had a folk/western production line in the early sixties. Offered in 6 or 12 string models, the Texan 5/296 was their top selling Western model. Here we present a mid 60s 12 string. The guitar has no cracks and is in fine esthetic order and while the guitar plays fine in the "Cowboy Chord" position, the action is noticeably high near the twelfth fret. Because of this the instrument is being sold "as is". If someone was so inclined, the bolt on neck could easily be removed and shimed resulting is better action.
