The Fender guitars of Japan need no introduction. Fantastic instruments within the players budget, these instruments are fantastic and have certainly become collectable in their own right. Here we have one of the "Contemporary" Stratocasters produced in 1985. Three piece alder body with a standard 3 tone burst finish, this guitar looks great and sports Fenders own spin on the heavier duty two point tremolo - similar to that of Kahler - equipped with fine tuners. Triple humbucker - while being routed SSS in the body, this has been upgraded with two Seymour Duncan Rail pickups in the neck and bridge, with a hot stack humbucker in the middle. Non original pots. A nice maple neck with well seated skunk stripe - Standard 25.5" scale length and 1 5/8" nut width. The slim and speedy neck has a standard C style profile that measures a mere .79" in depth at the first position, tapering up to about .88" at the twelfth fret. The frets are very clean, the neck is straight with a working truss rod and micro tilt. Slab rosewood board with the extra 22nd fret. Original Fender Japan stamped tuners work just as they should. Cosmetically this is a great clean example with quite a bit of power and output. A great Straternative in this current stacked single coil configuration. Includes original hardshell case.
