We just can't say no to an white Strat - Hendrix didn't, Blackmore didn't, Malmsteen didn't...
Well worn, this is a great feeling and playing Strat dating accurately to 1980. Vintage White finish, it shows some fairly heavy relic'ing throughout - primarily on the neck where it appears to have been taken down and had some stock oil added. Aged white finish shows some discoloration, see photos. All original hardware & electronics - pots codes obscured by the solder joints (one dating accurately to '78), its setup great and plays speedy like a dream. Articulate and detailed bell tones from these 70's Strat - providing glassy detail to incredible warmth and low end when coupled with a high gain amplifier.
Very easy to play, it has a well worn profile and fingerboard. The profile is thinner measuring .83" in depth at the first position to .91" at the twelfth - the wear having likely been flattened ever so slightly at the center, and likely rubbed down with stock oil. Replaced bone nut. This one was refretted by the original owner, the newer frets now leveled fairly low, but with no real "wear" present. The action is nice and low measuring 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret of the sixth string and 3/64" on the first -strung up with 9-42. It feels and plays like the 80's shredder that it is.
