Virtually fabled since the mid-to-late 1970s, the seldom-seen Starcaster occupies a special place in Fender history as its one-and-only offset-waist semi-hollow electric guitar. Prized decades later by a new generation of adventurous guitarists with a flair for appealingly unconventional Fender style, the Starcaster now returned in new Modern Player form with greater sound, build and beauty.
Dating to December 2013, this 335 counterpart from Fender comes to us in great condition, both playing and cosmetically. The Cherry Burst finish looks great, with hardly a mark on it, or any indicator of heavy play. Setup here in our shop, the bolt on neck is nice and straight, the gloss finish and frets showing virtually no use. The neck is straight with action measuring a mere 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret, with room for further adjustment at the saddle.
Wide range humbuckers sound nice and warm with defined articulation. This is surely a unique addition for any guitar collection.
Includes Epiphone hardshell case which it fits nicely.
