Rare and interesting, a non-catalog spec Fairbanks by Vega Tubaphone model that was likely a custom order from esteemed banjoist Frank Bradbury, whos signature is present on the back of the dowel stick. The 10-15/16" pot is equipped with original hardware including original No Knot w/ Cams, wire armrest, hooks/nuts; appropriate stamps on stick/rim; neck adjustment ferule extends through serial on dowel; some tarnish present on notched tension hoop. Gorgeous flamed maple neck w/ unengraved Flower Pot inlay (typical models are of dark stained mahogany), 27" scale, 1-1/4" nut width; equipped with Pre War planetary tuners; later geared fifth.
