Purveyors of cool, vintage inspired, esoteric guitar designs, Eastwood! Many instruments would be produced for a short period of time - the earlier issues having some intriguing variations to them. This example of their Savannah model is one such instrument, that pulled from a number of different guitar designs, namely Gibson & Gretsch - creating a good looking semi hollow guitar that is fitting for just about any guitar collection.
This arch top semi hollow has a slightly offset 335-esque design, with a 16" lower bout. All laminate maple, the top has a nice flame that wears a Gibson style honey burst finish. All gold hardware, this has a Burns patented tremolo - that functions like a Bigsby allowing for nice subtle pitch vibrato, with adjustable spring tension, and a roller bridge that is easily adjustable for intonation sake. Filtertron style humbuckers provide a really well balanced tone that can cover a lot of bases - from jangle to jazz, rock to roll. Fully bound, this is a very nice looking instrument that has a great price point.
The neck is designed with a 24.75" scale length, the rosewood fingerboard fully bound. The neck has a fairly modern slim C profile making it a good choice for most players - alongside a standard 1 11/16" nut width. The action is low measuring 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret, still with some room for adjustment at the saddle.
Cosmetically, this guitar is in very good condition with some simple surface level wear, mainly in the form of some wear in the gold plating.
Includes original hardshell case.
