New from Eastman!
The Telecaster has been the workingman's guitar of choice for over 70 years - pivotal to the development of the electric guitar, and therefore music as a whole. Eastman took cues from history and their customers looking for a well designed and still budget conscious single cut, T style guitar. Enter the Fullertone series and the SC model. The model name '52 harkens back to the well known Fender model, which changed the instrument then forward - Eastman taking the ideas all steps further...
A familiar T style single cut body that has a bit of offset-ness to be cool in the modern era. The Black Limba wood body is resonant and strong, seen here finished in the very cool Desert Sand satin finish - something that is sure to age well with time. Looking at the future, it features Eastmans new long tenon, 2 bolt neck joint - with the idea of a stronger fit and easy to alter the angle if need be. The familiar 25.5" scale length is convenient, and vintage purists will appreciate the thicker vintage inspired C profile. Roasted maple neck/fingerboard combo is instantly cool and will hold up well over time.
The electronics setup on this is certainly inspiring, especially for those used to a Telecaster setup but maybe looking for some slight modern tweaks. Tonerider Goldfoil soapbar humbucker in the neck is warm and articulate - a great touch with the vibe-y modern players finding the tone super useful and complimentary to the noiseless bridge pickup that has quack and edge.
A fantastic fit & finish from our favorite modern guitar company - all punching far above its price point.
