Here we have a DeArmond Rhythm Chief 1000 or as some call it, the "monkey on a stick". This appears to be all original besides the felts and the addition of different mounting rod for screwing straight into the neck. The "monkey on a stick" mounting rod is included with the pickup as an option. This pickup is in perfect working order and the pots sound clean as a whistle. The lead wire is rather brittle and may need to be replaced and the control box is missing the knobs for the volume and tone. The pickup has a connector for a 1/4" jack to screw on microphone style connector (shown in photo). This is the perfect pickup for any old school jazz player who want that authentic sound.
