David Webber of North Vancouver, now semi retired, became fairly well known amongst the boutique guitar world - producing very high quality instruments at obtainable price points. We are pleased to show off this nice 000 inspired build, likely from the early 2000's. A fantastic fingerstyle guitar, it has thump in the low end and delicate presence in the high end - easily competing with instruments twice its price. The neck is nice and straight, with easy action.

The top is constructed with a nice piece of Engelmann Spruce, complete with thin scalloped bracing, a thin rosewood bridge plate, and thick popsicle stick brace under the fingerboard extension. The top is nice and flat without belly, the bridge made of a thick piece of ebony with matching bridge pins and a tall bone saddle. The top has multi ply maple binding, matching the rosette. The lower bout measures 15 3/8" across, the upper at 11 1/2", with a depth of 3 7/8" at the base end, and 3 1/2" near the heel.

The neck is constructed out of Spanish Cedar, with a C profile that measures .85" in depth at the first fret, tapering up to only about .9" at the ninth fret. Vintage style thin fret wire comes to a tall peak, the frets themselves showing no wear. The nut width measures a standard 1 11/16", the scale at 25" the action measuring a typical 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret of the sixth string and 5/64" on the first. Open slot headstock feels nice and weight relieved, and looks elegant with its gold tuners with amber buttons.

Includes hardshell case.
