Hard to find used example from artisan builder Ryan B. Navey, who builds banjos in Midland NC, under the Carolina Banjo Company name. Navey's work does the rare thing of being simultaneously timeless and modern. The 12" "hookless" rim assembly was built with beautiful curly walnut, has Dobson tonering, and has a tapered block construction design internally, and cherry exterior; top tension system with rosewood rim cap. The 25.5" scale one piece cherry neck, has a scooped rosewood fingerboard, with burled walnut cap on the back of the peghead; Navey's exceptional wood carving is on full display, with a custom ordered relief carving on the peghead/scoop, and a rich, floral heel carving on the back of the neck; 1-3/8" nut width. Equipped with Gotoh geared tuners; in excellent nearly new condition apart from the stray finish mark/surface scratch (note on back of peghead)
