"A banjo is like a chicken, you have to pluck it!" This banjo comes from the workshop of the talented maker Douglass Unger. This is an example of an Unger neck on an original pot. The pot comes from a Fairbanks banjo mandolin, meaning it has a slightly smaller head than most Fairbanks banjo heads. The pot measures in at 10 inches across. The head is a really interesting "fraternity" head which features drawings and jokes written by a college fraternity of a bygone time. The scale length measures in at 26 inches. The fret board is an attractive faux-tortoise shell! The instrument itself is a great player and has a sturdy neck that feels comfortable to hold. No case included.
