Post breakup model, A. C. Fairbanks "Fairbanks & Cole" banjo, produced around 1892. The spun-over rim is 10", has a simple rolled tonering; dowel stick has Fairbanks stamp, and Fairbanks & Cole model stamp; repro No Knot; ; neck adjustment hardware is original. One piece, 24" scale mahogany neck with pearl inlay (some wear on back of neck including dings); typical deterioration of pearwood peghead overlay, setup w/ friction tuners and nylon strings. Some light forward relief, but an appealing banjo to play and hold. Incld. original bottom loading chipboard case, which is in good condition apart from broken lower leather belt
