Being comprised of several well-known makers, this is in every way a "parts" banjo, featuring a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. A nice player with good popping banjo tone. The 11" maple rim assembly is 1/2" thick, is equipped with a Bacon/Washburn doughnut tonering, with large Bacon nuts, bent hooks, Vega neck hardware, and a dowel stick with Bacon Banjo Co. Groton CT and Professional Special stamps; repro Kershner tailpiece; some rust and discoloration present. The Vega style three piece maple neck has a 27" scale length w/ slight profile, thick ebony heel cap, ebony fingerboard, 1-3/16" nut width; notable finish checking; equipped with Gotoh geared tuners.
