A nice Italian mandolin, constructed with 21 rosewood rib back and a spruce top. A nicely decorated scratch guard and rosette, it also has a nice multi ply binding. Cosmetically its fairly clean given its age, likely over 100 years old. It has a nice sound with volume and complex depth, currently strung with bronze round wound strings - this would make a great contender for some classical flat wound strings. The neck angle is fairly good albeit with a replaced lower bridge, it has a nice action that measures 6/64" in height at the twelfth fret. Original tuners with decorated plate cover. No case.
