One of the finest Schmicks we've laid our eyes upon, from the Camden NJ firm, with high grade appointments and construction, only comparable to Harry J. Chopourian namesake model. The integrated top-tension resonator design (similar to zither banjos of the era) is of high grade flamed maple, fully bound in rosewood, trimmed on back with lamination, with a thick strip of colorful marquetry running vertically along the back; screwed on No Knot tailpiece (original feature); some hairline cracks present along circular resonator face holes, with long glued cracks on back in several places. The fully bound long 27" scale three piece neck was made using spectacular quilted maple, with ebony fretboard inlaid with fancy pearl (leaf, vine, diamond, position dots), with gorgeous "exploded vine" pearl inlay into pearwood peghead overlay; equipped with original Champion geared friction pegs. Some light forward bow to the neck present
