The Weber name is one of the best - beginning with Bruce's fine work with Flatiron and onward, his keen eye for detail has made all of his instruments quite charming to players and even collectors alike. Using all solid woods this example of the Bitterroot Octave Mandolin comes to us in great condition. It has substantial volume and a nice balanced response with easy playability, all at a pretty reasonable price point. The Bitterroot signed by luthier Ryan Fish on the label, has some simple but elegant aesthetics - including a satin lacquered finished Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany Back & sides. Traditional double tone bar bracing, makes for some warm bass response and nice clarity. Fully bound, this instrument is relatively low frills with a nice elegant diamond inlay in the ebony fingerboard.
This example comes to us in great shape with virtually no play wear present. The action is nice and low, measuring only 4/64" in height at the twelfth fret on each string. The saddle has plenty of room for future adjustment, and this is serviceable with an adjustable truss rod. It has a 1.5" nut width and 20" scale length. Includes original hardshell case, as well as a convenient gig bag
