An interesting piece! This banjo was made by the Washburn Company in Chicago, Illinois. Usually, their banjos have metal spun over rims, but this one has a lovely wooden rim with excellent marquetry around the lower circumpherence. With a 28 inch scale length and an 11 inch rim, it has a lovely sound. Currently set up with Nylon Strings as this does not have the capability to withstand the tension of steel strings. Later Chipboard case included.
