First introduced in 2005, the Vox AC30CCH is the head version of the AC30CC series. This all tube, 30 watt amplifier delivers chimey, bright tones that Vox has become synonymous with some modern features from the hand wired series added.

The AC30CCH offers two input channels, Normal and Top Boost. The Normal channel includes a Brilliant switch, which gives the normal channel the extra treble boost from the AC-30 “Treble” amplifier. The Top Boost channel includes treble and bass controls, and a selectable “custom” EQ from the hand wired series. The 'link' switch allows you to blend both input channels, without the need for a ¼” jumper cable. Spring reverb, tremolo, and a master tone control are available on both channels. The Master volume switch on the end lets you drive the preamp section harder for those Brian May Queen tones, without taking the roof off your house.

On the back panel there are a few extra switches. Selectable output impedance allows you to pair the amp with a 8 or 16Ω speaker cabinet. The output bias lets you choose the resistance for your bias resistor for the EL84 output tubes; 82Ω like a vintage AC-30 or 50Ω for a hotter tone and output. The final switch “smoothing” lets you select the smoothing capacitor for the B+ voltage, 22μF like a vintage AC-30 or 44μF for a tighter sound.

Housed in a solid Baltic birch cabinet, the AC30CCH has all the classic Vox cosmetic touches. Basketweave tolex, brown diamond grille cloth, gold piping, gold Vox logo, and a stunning steel chassis based on the original 1964 JMI design.

This AC30CCH comes to us in perfect working condition and overall good cosmetic condition. Some tears on the tolex are present, mostly on the bottom of the head, but it is good overall.

An unmarked, 1x12” 8 ohm extension cabinet, loaded with a Celestion G12T-75 is included in the sale. Although dressed more like a Fender, it gets the job done and is a nice size.

The original footswitch is also included.
