Lightweight, late period Vega Regent model plectrum banjo, in its original hardshell case; high quality Boston banjo nearly 100 years old. The maple rim assembly is 1/2" thick, with a 10-15/16" diameter pot, simple rolled tonering, notched flange, individual flanges, and Presto tailpiece; pie plate maple resonator present, with tortoise binding, with finish chips around neck pocket area, light checking, and mild discoloration. The thick, three piece maple neck has a 27" scale ebony fingerboard, with pearl dot position markers, and a star at fifth; 1-1/4" nut width; peghead is equipped with original off-set tab Grover geared tuners, with engraved Vega star on face, with some mild finish wear as well; dings and scuffs present on back of neck, with mild fret wear; a good playing original example w/ mild forward relief.
